The brass weight made a noticeable difference on my Apex 18 — it keeps the nose planted on steep climbs instead of flipping backward. Fit was spot on as a direct replacement, no drilling or shimming needed. Feels like a proper single-piece part, not the flimsy stock one.
Swapping the plastic skid for this brass one added noticeable weight down low, and the truck feels way more planted on rocky climbs now. Fitment on the Ascent Apex 18 was spot on with no drilling needed.
